About us

Welcome to Goole High School and Centenary College

If there are courses that we do not currently offer, let us know and we will work to make them available to you.

We treat our students as adults, you are encouraged to plan your own time and manage your studies but when you need help, the support is there for you.

  • What Makes Us Different

With an investment of over £10 million and the backing of Wakefield City Acdemies Trust, Centenary College is set to distinguish itself as a leading provider of high level vocational learning. Combining Level 3 BTEC courses with industry placements, the college caters for aspiring 16-19 years olds who are looking to progress onto higher education or move straight into the world of work.

  • Learner Support

Personal guidance is a key feature of the College programme. Every student is assigned a tutor and students receive feedback on their progress every 6 weeks. All students are encouraged to enter Higher Education.

We have a Sixth Form Co-ordinator in place to oversee all pastoral issues that arise.

We have an open office policy and a flexible and relaxed appointment system in place where students can seek support as and when it is needed.

  • Applying for Courses

  • Activities

The College prides itself in offering extra curricular activities and all students are encouraged to get involved:representing the College through being part of a sports team; working on a project within the local community; or receiving coaching from a business mentor are just a few example of enrichment opportunities on offer at Centenary College.

Students will have the opportunity to work on nationally recognised schemes such as NCS and Sports leaders, to help gain valuable extra curricular skills and enhance their CV/UCAS applications.
