Hull Training is one of the largest and most successful providers of education and training within the Humber Region. As part of Hull City Council we have been providing quality education & training within the local community for over 30 years.
Our training programmes are delivered across a wide range of occupational areas and we work closely with employers from many different sectors. This includes private sector industry and commerce, as well as public sector employers such as Hull City Council. We have developed strong relationships with local employers who return to us time and time again to fill vacancies and to meet training needs within their organisation.
What Makes Us Different
Over the last 30 years we’ve become one of the largest providers of Apprenticeships in the area – and we’re still getting better. We work with the National Apprenticeship Service and our courses are about making sure you get the skills and knowledge you need to progress into employment or onto further or higher education.
Hull Training offers a broad range of Apprenticeship opportunities across a variety of areas. Our employers come from different sectors which include private industry and commerce, and the public sector such as Hull City Council and the NHS.
We’re proud of our growing reputation, our facilities, teaching staff, our learners and the support we give them while they’re with us.
We have a dedicated team of qualified staff most of whom have first-hand experience of working in the area they’re teaching. They can support and mentor you both in the work place and at the Training Centre. We also have a team who are here to offer impartial advice and guidance on your career choice or help you decide on the correct route for you to achieve the career you are looking for.
Your Personal Tutor is there to help you make the most of your course. They will:
- Talk about the things that might be affecting you at college or personally, and discuss what support you might need
- Guide you as you make decisions about your future and help you put your plans into action
- Be there to talk to your parents/carers about how you’re doing on your course.
Learner Support Services
Some students have many things to deal with whilst they are learning with us e.g. health issues, family problems, difficulties with friends, money, relationships etc. We recognise this and will try to help as much as we can. In our centres we have Safeguarding Co-ordinators who can offer any support that you may need.
Our aim is for all learners to have equal access to the curriculum and work towards meeting their full potential with our support. If you have a physical, mental or sensory impairment, we will make all reasonable adjustments required.
Keeping you safe
When it comes to the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults, we expect all students, staff and visitors to follow our Safeguarding Policy and Procedures which focuses on keeping everyone safe and well.
