About us

Chamber Training (Humber) Ltd operate on both sides of the Humber delivering Apprenticeship Programmes and Vocational Qualifications through our contract with the Skills Funding Agency (SFA).

We have been established for 16 years and are one of the regions largest training providers and the training arm of the Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce. As part of the Humber region’s business organisation it provides us with strong links with local employers to source employment opportunities for our learners. It also enables us to respond to the ever changing needs of commerce and their training needs.

We pride ourselves in delivering quality training to young people and adults alike. We will always go ‘that extra mile’ living up to our mission statement … “To support, encourage and empower people to become the very best they can be and accept nothing less”.

  • Learner Support

    The responsibilities of Chamber Training (Humber) Ltd are to ensure all learners have fair and equal access to high quality training irrespective of race, age, gender, transgender, transsexual, faith and/or religion, sexual orientation and disability.

    We will ensure that you receive the correct amount of individual support to enable you to progress through your training and achieve your qualification and career choice. We offer information, advice and guidance with regard to your training choices and progression opportunities. There is always a member of our friendly team to talk to should you have a query or a problem. We have various means of contact methods including: telephone, text, email, website and facebook.

    If our programmes are not suitable to your needs we will signpost you to an alternative learning route.

    We will provide you with training on your rights and responsibilities in the workplace and will not tolerate any form of discrimination, harassment or bullying. Your safety is of utmost importance to us and we therefore provide confidential support services for this and any of the above where you can contact us by telephone, text or email on our confidential support lines.

  • Applying for Courses

    Interviews are guaranteed to all applicants and you will be asked to complete a Chamber Training application form and to sit a basic skills agency assessment. This assessment is mandatory to enable us to assess your literacy and numeracy abilities and to be able to offer you the best option to suit your individual needs.

  • Additional Information

    Chamber Training (Humber) Ltd consider every one of our Apprentices to be a success story as we do understand that it is a ‘culture shock’ for any young person to leave school and enter into the ‘world of work’. We are proud of all of our Apprentices who manage to gain employment and stay in employment after achieving their Apprenticeship and many who gain promotions and progress onto the Advanced Apprenticeship.

  • Activities

    We participate in the National Apprenticeship Week every year to raise the profile and increase the awareness of Apprenticeships. During the summer months we hold ‘Apprenticeship Open Evening’s’ to provide school/college leavers and their parents with information, advice and guidance about apprenticeships and the careers they offer. We continuously participate in career events held by schools in the region to provide young people with information on career options.

  • Features

    Our training centre is located in Hull and is a short walk away from the Interchange. The centre has a friendly adult atmosphere with welcoming customised function suites including: IT Suite with latest technology and internet, Interactive learning equipment, Library with a range of resources and a Bistro area available to use for lunch and breaks and a comfy chill-out student room with sofas and TV.
