If you want to improve your skills to get a job, get a new qualification to help you to change career, or learn something completely new, East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s employment education and skills team can help.
As well as offering a wide range of adult learning courses, the team also delivers a range of successful employability support programmes for clients aged 16 years and over.
Springboard - Springboard is a personalised programme that supports you if you are aged 16 to 24 into employment, education or training. Springboard is delivered by East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s employment education and skills team and is personalised completely to you and your needs. It specifically helps you if you are long term unemployed (over 6 months) or not in paid work, not available for work or not seeking work.
Exploring Opportunities - Exploring opportunities is a personalised programme that supports you if you are aged 25 and over and want to overcome barriers that are stopping you from getting a job, further education or training. Some people know what they want to do to make positive changes, but it isn’t always easy to know how to change things that aren’t working well. Often it can be about having more confidence and motivation. This is where the Exploring Opportunities programme helps.
What Makes Us Different
On Springboard and Exploring Opportunities clients work with a dedicated personal adviser, there are no set meeting times and dates and no set time that you have to be on the programme. We work really hard with individuals to move then on in life and work and rarely fail to get clients the outcome that they want.
