Coronavirus: Rishi Sunak unveiling 'kickstart jobs scheme' for young people

Chancellor Rishi Sunak will announce a £2bn "kickstart scheme" later to create more jobs for young people. The fund will subsidise six-month work placements for people on Universal Credit aged between 16 and 24, who are at risk of long-term unemployment. To read the full details visit:

As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situations continues our online careers gateway www.logonmoveon.co.uk remains open providing you with impartial information to help you make informed choices about your future learning and career options.

If you are in year 11 or 13 you can still use the online prospectus to search and apply for local education, training and apprenticeship opportunities. Online applications are still being accepted.  If you require further guidance please get in touch and we will refer you our colleagues who are able to support you during this period of uncertainty. This guidance aims to answer common questions in relation to the cancellation of GCSEs, AS and A levels due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in 2020.

Due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19 and in light of the advice from Public Health England on social distancing and stopping the spread of the virus, the Connexions service has temporarily suspended face-to-face meetings with its customers.

This has been necessary to ensure the health and wellbeing of our staff, our customers and the general public.
