About us

Welcome to Askham Bryan College - We’re proud to be the fastest growing land based college in the country, thanks to our range of existing courses, great teaching and fantastic facilities.

We have courses to suit just about everyone, whether you are looking for an entry level starter course, an honours degree, work based learning or anything in between. Our residential campus is on the edge of York. We have centres at Leeds and Newcastle and we also deliver animal management courses at Bradford, Middlesbrough, Scarborough and Wakefield.

Our lecturers all have a vast knowledge of their subject areas and many have had considerable experience working in industry. The staff who work in supporting roles are also dedicated to helping our students achieve their goals.

We’re a very friendly college and there’s lots to do when you’re not studying. If you’re interested in studying with us, you really do need to come and see for yourself. It could be your first step towards a new experience and a great career.

    We are one of the country's foremost land-based colleges providing education and training at all levels from introductory courses for school leavers through to apprenticeship programmes right up to higher education honours degrees. Our beautiful residential campus at York is only four miles from the historical city centre.

  • Features

    The landscaped grounds include not only the College's two farms and horticultural unit but also woodlands, excellent outdoor sports and leisure facilities for you to enjoy, as well as our state-of-the-art Animal Management, Wildlife and Conservation Centre and Equestrian Centre. 

    Animal Management students also benefit from our relationship with Flamingo Land Zoo which gives our degree students the ability to complete further research and work placements.

    As a residential college we provide new state of the art en-suite accommodation as well as a newly refurbished dining room and Deli Bar serving meals throughout the day.
