About us

John Leggott College is a unique provision with over 52 years of supporting students achieve their dreams. As a sixth form provider, we are passionate about ensuring that our students achieve their potential both academically, personally and professionally. We achieve this by focusing on the individual, from our very first meeting with you in school, supporting you to transition to us, your time at college and your onward journey.

Students will be provided with tailored support through our fantastic teaching, specialist support, opportunities to develop skills to provide key support throughout the students journey. This is the place for students looking to study any course with any combination from our extensive curriculum, alongside our exciting enrichment and work experience opportunities. John Leggott College has a regional reputation of being one of the best sixth form providers for A level and BTEC results, allowing learners to progress to their chosen destination.

Student support

Our support teams are dedicated to meet our students needs and support them throughout their JLC journey.

Academic Advocates - act as a first point of contact for students. 

Careers and Progression Team -  support students on to positive destinations. 

Inclusive Learning - support students with additional learning needs. 

Safeguarding & Well being Team - are dedicated to making sure students stay mentally, emotionally and physically healthy. 

Student Services - act as a one stop shop for all college queries.

Transport

Student Services are a pivotal contact for students at John Leggott College. One of their duties is to ensure students have a smooth journey into college.

Our students benefit from access to transport routes covering a wide range of areas including Scunthorpe, Gainsborough, Grimsby, Goole, Barton, Cleethorpes, Doncaster, Snaith, Thorne, Isle of Axholme, Brigg and everywhere in between. Once you have applied and secured your place at John Leggott College, we will send you details of how to get a bus pass, where your nearest pick-up point is and answer any questions you might have. All services run Monday to Friday during term time only.
